We offer you this Gospel Prayer of Luke
From the Gospel of Luke 9.57-62
As they were on their way, one said, “I will follow you wherever you go. Jesus said: “The foxes have burrows, the birds of the sky nests, but this Man has nowhere to lay his head. He said to another, “Follow me. He said, “[Lord], let me first bury my father. He said, “Let the dead bury their dead; you go announce the reign of God. Another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say goodbye to my family. Jesus said to him, “He who has put his hand on the plough and looks back is not fit for the reign of God.
Colloquium in front of a call
Lord, I can’t walk half-heartedly with you,
but that’s how I feel many times.
I want to go after you.
but I’m still clinging to my things and sticks,
only You can make him follow you:
Your love every day about me,
your voice that won’t leave me,
your look that accompanies me
in all my losses.
Can I start over today?
Can I open my life with you
as I am?
You tell me again and again:
Follow me.
Bring me here, Lord, after you.
Give me confidence and courage
to put in you my heart
and my whole life.
Oh, my God, and all my things!
