We offer you this Prayer for Easter/ Pentecost time
During the fifty days of Easter the liturgy refers us to experiences of encounters with the Risen One. Easter is to welcome Life, to leave death situations and to open ourselves to the gift of the Spirit that leaves us its gifts, empowers us to bear fruit and gathers us to celebrate the gift of the call to life, to the vocation received and to strengthen it with the Word , the renewal of faith, the sacraments and service for others, especially those most in need.
Biblical texts: (John 20: 19b-22. 30) (Lk 24:13-16. 32-35) (Col 3, 1-2. 9-10.17)
“Jesus came in the midst of and said unto them, Peace be with you. And he showed them the hands and the side. The disciples were filled with joy in seeing the Lord. Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you. He added: As the Father has sent me, I also send you. He breathed upon them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus made in the presence of his disciples many more signs than have been narrated in this book”
The Word of the Lord
“You will be my people and I will be your God”/ “Thanks to the life that has given me so much”
Thank you Lord for the gift of Life. May we take advantage of the gifts and graces received to be faithful to your Word. We thank you….
May we, Lord, instrument of your peace, that we may always soothe forgiveness and fraternity in the midst of our families and communities. We ask you, Lord.
Grant us, Lord, the gift of your Spirit, to recognize you as we break bread and to aspire to the charisms that will make us grow in our vocation.
UNDER YOUR PROTECTION
We propose to reflect each week on the fifty days on a gift of the Holy Spirit.
